Prospective Organizations
Serve Rhode Island accepts AmeriCorps State grant proposals from non-profit agencies on an annual basis through its RFP Process. AmeriCorps State grant proposals are awarded following a rigorous review process that involves peer community review, staff and Serve Rhode Island's Board of Commissioners. As the state commission, Serve Rhode Island administers the annual AmeriCorps State grant competition that will determine which applicants will be selected to be considered for either a national competitive grant or state formula grant.
Although AmeriCorps funding is an invaluable resource to local communities, organizations must have the organizational capacity to administer federal funds and appropriately supervise and support a team of AmeriCorps members.
Serve Rhode Island's 2011-2012 AmeriCorps State grant application is closed.
Please visit the Corporation for National and Community Service's website for other funding opportunities.
