Volunteer Database
Use our volunteer database to post opportunities at your organization and begin recruiting volunteers today!
Begin by registering your agency on our website by clicking "Agency Login/Registration."
Features:
- A statistical page includes the number of volunteers who have viewed your information on a month to month basis.
- Information about when your listings were posted and when they will expire if they are not updated.
- Volunteers can add a Reflection to your agency about their expriences at your agency, providing your volunteer program with valuable volunteer feedback.
Helpful Hints for Posting Volunteer Opportunities:
- Give your volunteer opportunity a volunteer job title. Include the title in the opportunity headline. Some examples of volunteer job titles are: "Middle School Mentor," "Administrative Assistant," "Environmental Activist"
- List specific duties of the volunteer job. The words that describe the tasks required of the volunteer are most likely the keywords that the volunteer will use to search for an opportunitiy.
- Select categories that best characterize your opportunity. Tell potential volunteers what the benefits of volunteering for your organization are.
- Let volunteers know what they are in for, what the requirements are. Include dates and times volunteers are needed, any necessary trainings, etc.
- Select whether your opportunity is date-specific or ongoing. An opportunity is date-specific if it is happening on one day, for a limited amount of time (5 days or less), or if it is a short-term opportunity that repeats; for example, your opportunity is available for the next 4 Saturdays. Do not including ongoing opportunities as date-specific with a daily repeat for any opportunity that is longer than five days.
- Select the start and end time again, even if you mentioned it in your description.
- Select the number of volunteers your opportunity can accomodate. Again, including this information here provides additional information for the advanced search option that volunteers can choose to use.
