Youth and Student Volunteering
Serve Rhode Island encourages youth and students to become involved with their communities through volunteering. Through a partnership with generationOn, Serve Rhode Island has begun some new initiatives to empower more youth and students into community service.
Here are some ideas to get you started and involved:
- Organize a volunteer club at your school and contact Serve Rhode Island for opportunities.
- Post what you and your friends have done at your school or in your community on our blog.
- Build up your college applications and your résumé while gaining valuable work experience.
- What is your favorite cause? Would you like to help the environment? Or help out at your local food bank? Take a quick quiz to find out!
- Maybe you don't have time between school, sports, and work. Why don't you try micro-volunteering? It can be done over the internet and even from your smartphone.
- Upload your service videos on YouTube and subscribe to Serve Rhode Island's Channel.
- "Like" us on Facebook.
- Follow us on Twitter @Serve_RI.
